Originwater DF Membrane product won China Top 100 “Coolest Black Tech”

A few days ago, “T100 New Technology • New Product  New Innovation Action” Press Conference was held inBeijingNationalConferenceCenter. The Conference announced “China Black Tech Top100”; the ultra low pressure selective nanoflitration (DF) membrane—the innovative product firstly developed by Originwater in the world was on the rank. This was another prize won by Originwater DF membrane products after it was awarded Zhongguancun Top 10 Innovation Award. 

 “T100 New Technology•New Product New Innovation Action” was jointly hosted by Beijing Science & Technology Cooperation Center and China Association for Promotion of Non-Governmental Sci-Tech Enterprises which is under administration of Ministry of Science and Technology. Through preliminary assessment by experts, online voting, final assessment and post release, finally the Conference elected “2016 China Top100 Black Tech”----New Technology•New Product TOP100 from 1073 pieces of new technologies and products which were collected from 835 enterprises. 

The T100 Awards Items elected in this assessment activity will be recommended to participate in World T100 Science & Technology Innovation hosted by American Popular Science. The Awards will be exhibited to the public atBeijingScience & TechnologyMuseumand local science & technology museums; in addition, the awards winners will participate in investment and financing, project cooperation, technology transformation, media propagation and other activities. The awards items ofBeijingwill be nominated to the “first batch procurement list” of the government, finishing “the last step” from technology achievement to market. 

It is reported that, in order to find solutions to the problem of “water shortage” in China, the R&D team of Originwater organized nearly 100 experts both home and abroad, spent 2 years and 350,000,000 yuan, and firstly developed DF Membrane Technique in the world; Originwaer owns all intellectual property rights. Originwater also independently developed “MRB+DF” double membrane technology which could turn municipal sewage water to high quality new water source that reaches Surface Water II Standard. “MRB+DF” is a major technical breakthrough in its field; it has realized twin goals of water environment improvement and new water resource development, and could be a strategic technique option to solving” water pollution and water shortage” problem of China. 

Working pressure of Originwater DF membrane is low, just 1/3 as that of the reverse osmosis membranes on the markets. DF membrane is energy-saving and low in operation cost; operation cost per ton of water is less than 1 yuan; water recycling rate reaches up to over 80%, much higher than reverse osmoses. DF membrane not only can be used for the recycling and deep treatment of sewage water in inland areas, turning sewage water to new water source; but also can be used in drinking water purification equipment, retaining beneficial mineral substances while removing harmful heavy metals, further improving safety standard of drinking water. 

Right now, DF membrane and “MBR+DF” double membrane technology of Originwater have been widely used in the field of sewage water deep treatment and drinking water safety; they were used in many projects, such as the first ne-water plant--Beijing Cuihu Ne-water Plant, Drinking Water Quality Improvement Project in Yangquan city of Shanxi Province, Drinking Water Quality Improvement Project of Yexi Industry & Mining Zone and around area in Pingding County of Yangquan City, Demonstrative Membrane Treatment Project in 2nd Water Plant of Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, the biggest water supply project of Weibei Zone, Xi’an City and so on; they were also used in municipal and industry park sewage water treatment projects in cities in Beijing, Shandong, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, etc.
